The II II Jornada Monteiro Lobato (II Monteiro Lobato Journey) is the result of a partnership between the Department of Translation, Linguistics, and Cultural Studies of the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mogúncia (FTSK/JGU) and the Faculty of Philosophy, Languages and Literature, and Human Sciences (FFLCH), that happened in November 19th and 26th and December 3rd and 10th 2020, completely online.
In this event, the presentation of researches related to Monteiro Lobato is aimed at German students that translate Lobato. Among the lecturers, we highlight the presence of Dr. José Vicente, dean of the Zumbi dos Palmares University (São Paulo), that will approach the racism issue, and prof. Dr. John Milton, who will present translarion concepts for Lobato.
