Biography

Graduated in English from the University of São Paulo (1990) and PhD in English Language and Literary Studies from the University of São Paulo (2000). He performed his Postdoctoral research at the Yale University, USA (2004) and at the Columbia University, USA (2012). Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at the University of São Paulo. He has experience in the field of English, with emphasis on English and North-American Literatures, operating mainly on the following themes: materialist criticism, narrative and history, North-American cinema and novel. He is the author of "Figurações do falso em Joseph Conrad" (Humanitas, 2013).
